51 Scholarships awarded in Radom, Poland (Oct. 2010)

Polish Orphans Charity, on October 15, 2010, awarded 51 scholarships for artistically talented children. The annual ceremony took place in the City of Radom, Poland. Each scholarship was equivalent to CAD$1,000.00.

TORONTO - It was a bittersweet celebration for Toronto’s Polish community on Saturday night at a charity ball attended by prominent Polish Canadians and members of the diplomatic community. Held at Toronto’s prestigious Le Royal Meridien King Edward Hotel, the Polish Orphans Charity celebrated its 10th anniversary by donating scholarships to deserving orphans in Poland and surrounding countries. An extra $20,000 was donated for children who lost their parents in the recent plane crash that killed 96 people, including Polish president Lech Kaczynski and his wife Maria.

SNAP Downtown Toronto - 10th Anniversary Ball Pologne

...Many were in attendance for the lavish event held at Le Meridien King Edward Hotel.
Dinner guests were greeted by the elegant Grand Salon Orchestra under the baton
of Kerry Stratton as they entered the ballroom, followed by a toast to the Queen
which officially began the event. Many performers added to the spirit of the night
throughout the six course meal and a generous cheque presentation.
